Why standard test systems are not enough
Every product places different demands on the test procedures. Standardized test equipment often cannot cover all the functions required for complete quality control. That is why we at RRC have created a solution that is precisely tailored to our needs:
Our in-house test systems enable us to precisely measure all relevant parameters of our products and test their entire functionality. The flexible architecture, which allows the use of various test adaptations, is particularly important. This allows us to test our entire product range - from battery chargers and power management modules to our battery packs - with just a few systems.
Thanks to the state-of-the-art architecture of our systems, we achieve optimum maintainability and can access every component in real time from anywhere in the world. For example, to troubleshoot a system in our production facility in Vietnam. Carried out by engineers at our HQ in Germany.
The CPU card - the heart of our test adapters
The CPU card is a central component in our test adapters. It is responsible for communication between the test system and the DUT. The CPU card is a central component in our test adapters. It is responsible for communication between the test system and the device under test and also performs other tasks such as controlling auxiliary boards.
We are currently working intensively on a prototype of our new generation CPU card, which will take our test procedure and compatibility to a new level.
New features include the extension of the existing i2c and SMBus protocols to the CAN bus used in our robotics batteries. In addition, the Ethernet TCP/IP-connected CPU card will be extended by further interfaces such as UART in order to control additional devices used in our tests, such as barcode readers or LED analyzers.
Use in our products
Our specially developed CPU cards are used in our test adapters to precisely test all RRC products. These include, among others:
- Battery chargers such as the RRC-SMB-UBC or MBC, which guarantee safe and fast charging of our batteries.
- Power management modules such as the PMM20, which ensure stable power distribution in our customers' applications.
- Battery packs such as our RRC2020 or RRC2054-2, which reliably supply our customers' applications such as ventilators.
By continuously developing our test systems, we ensure that our products continue to meet the highest quality and safety standards in the future.
Why we invest in our own test systems
For us, quality assurance is more than just a process - it is a crucial part of our corporate philosophy. By developing our own test systems, we ensure that every single battery, charger and power management module meets our high standards.
By further developing our new generation of CPU cards, we are making our test procedure even more efficient, flexible and future-proof. In this way, we ensure that our customers always receive the highest product quality for their demanding applications.
