Why standard test systems are not enough
Every product places different demands on the test procedures. Standardized test equipment often cannot cover all the functions required for complete quality control. That is why we at RRC have created a solution that is precisely tailored to our needs:
Our in-house test systems enable us to precisely measure all relevant parameters of our products, carry out long-term tests and test functionality under realistic conditions. The flexible architecture, which allows the use of different test adapters, is particularly important here. This allows us to test our entire product range - from battery chargers and power management modules to individual customer solutions - with a single system.
The CPU card - the heart of our test adapters
The CPU card is a central component in our test adapters. It is responsible for communication between the test system and the DUT and ensures that every measurement is recorded accurately.
Until now, we have used a CPU card that communicates with the DUTs via USB.
However, in order to make our test systems even better equipped for future requirements, we are currently developing a new CPU card that communicates via Ethernet.
From USB to Ethernet - a big step forward
While our previous test systems relied on USB-based communication, we are going one step further with the new generation: the future belongs to Ethernet.
Why this change?
- Faster and more stable communication: Ethernet enables a higher data transfer rate and minimizes interference.
- More flexibility: Ethernet offers more connection options and facilitates integration into existing networks.
- Scalability: The network connection allows several test systems to be controlled and managed simultaneously.
Our laboratory staff are currently working intensively on a prototype of the new CPU card, which will take our test procedure to a new level.
Use in our products
Our specially developed CPU cards are used in our test adapters to precisely test all RRC products. These include, among others:
- Battery chargers such as the RRC-SMB-UBC or MBC, which ensure a reliable power supply in medical technology.
- Power management modules such as the PMM20, which ensures stable power distribution.
By continuously developing our test systems, we ensure that our products continue to meet the highest quality and safety standards in the future.
Why we invest in our own test systems
For us, quality assurance is more than just a process - it is a crucial part of our corporate philosophy. By developing our own test systems, we ensure that every single battery, charger and power management module meets our high standards.
By switching to Ethernet and developing new CPU cards, we are making our testing process even more efficient, flexible and future-proof. In this way, we ensure that our customers always receive the best solution for their demanding applications.
